Poolbeg Chimneys at Blue Hour Print

This picture was taken just after 6am on the morning of the 17th of September 2017, it was a day Dublin would turn blue after winning the the All-Ireland title for a third time in a row at Croke Park.

It was a beautifully calm morning at blue hour on Dublin Bay, the wind had stilled and the clouds were breaking, looking out towards the Poolbeg Chimneys over the various shades of blue water that bounced reflections of the Chimneys and the cloud on the slowly retreating tide on Sandymount strand and across towards Poolbeg, a glimpse of orange touched the cloud tops and illuminated parts of the sky as the sun was making its way up towards the horizon.

All was peaceful in Dublin on this Sunday morning, barely a ripple crossed the water and the only sound was a faint hum from the docklands before the city awoke and came alive...
