Poolbeg Lighthouse - Soft Pastel Sunrise

This Poolbeg Lighthouse print captures a gentle and quietly radiant sunrise over Dublin Bay, photographed on April 10th 2025 from the top of the Irishtown Nature Reserve. Where some mornings bring dramatic colour, this one unfolded in soft gradients and calm air, offering a peaceful interpretation of the lighthouse from a distant 3 km vantage point across the Shellybanks and bay.

The sky shifted through delicate tones of peach, rose and pale gold, spreading lightly across the whispy cloud. As the sun lifted behind the lighthouse, its muted glow softened the structure's silhouette and cast a warm, dreamy light across the water.

After more than a decade photographing sunrises and moonrises at Poolbeg, this was the second morning of a short alignment from the nature reserve. Unlike the intensity of the previous day, this sunrise offered a gentler atmosphere, showing how the same location can shift from vibrant energy to quiet calm within just 24 hours.
