Winter at The Dark Hedges

As the sun rose on a bitterly cold New Years Eve morning along Bregagh Road, the low winter sunlight light crossed the land and winds whistled through the ancient beech trees in a moment of natural symphony and peace on the usually buzzing tourist attraction.

Standing beside these towering tangled immemorial giants gives a perspective of just how small we are, there is something truly comforting walking along the road and being sheltered in their intertwined limbs. Many generations have walked along this magical road, told stories of folklore and and gazed at its beauty, hopefully these giants will stand for many, many more generations.
